01About these terms

This website is operated by Root Delta Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17304199), registered office St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS. You can contact us at hello@rootdelta.net. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms govern your use of this public website only. They do not govern any project engagement or service delivery, which are covered by a separate written agreement.

02Use of this website

You may use this site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation. We may update or withdraw site content at any time without notice.

Credentials and sensitive information. Please do not submit passwords, access credentials or sensitive personal information through the contact form or by ordinary email. Access to systems should be granted through client-owned account invitations or another agreed secure method.

03Intellectual property

This website and its content are protected by intellectual-property rights. You may view the site and share links or brief extracts, with attribution, for lawful internal business evaluation or personal reference. Except as permitted by law, do not reproduce substantial parts, republish, modify, sell or otherwise exploit site content without permission from the relevant rights holder.

This section concerns the website only. Client-project ownership, licences and handover are governed solely by the signed project agreement. No ownership transfers through this website.

04Enquiries & quotes

Information on this site about our services is for general guidance and is not a binding offer. That includes every figure shown here: starting prices, price ranges, monthly plan prices, indicative running costs and any credit described. These are planning figures and entry points, not a quotation or service schedule for your work, and they may change before a project-specific quote or service schedule is issued. Any separate estimate is indicative. A project-specific written quote or service schedule sets out the proposed scope, fee, VAT treatment and total payable. It is a proposal rather than a contract until the written agreement is signed. Once the written agreement is signed, that agreement and any quote or service schedule it incorporates control the agreed scope, fee, VAT treatment and total payable, subject to any VAT-rate provision in that agreement. Any change to the agreed scope, fee or timing must be agreed in writing before the affected work proceeds. A credit applies only on the conditions stated in the quote that offers it. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and submitting an enquiry does not create a contract.

05Services described on this website

The descriptions of services on this website are general information only. They do not commit either party to a particular service, method, scope or outcome. If you engage Root Delta, the separate written agreement governs the work, including scope, deliverables, fees, timing, intellectual-property rights and licences, permitted handling of project information and any service-specific limitations.

Where this site describes how we handle acceptance, defects, refunds, credits or ending an engagement, it is summarising the terms we offer in the standard written agreement for that service. Those terms take effect through that agreement, which sets them out in full, and not through this website. Some services use a schedule or service-specific terms under the Project Agreement. A support plan has its own notice and cancellation terms. We will give you the agreement to read before you commit to anything.

References to accounting-platform integrations describe technical services only. Root Delta does not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, VAT or legal advice. Independent software reviews provide engineering evidence and analysis; they are not legal advice, regulatory certification, penetration testing, formal compliance approval or a guarantee of complete security.

06Liability

This clause is about the website only. It does not affect what Root Delta owes you under a project agreement, which has its own liability terms.

We take reasonable care over the information on this site, but it is general information and may not be complete or suitable for your circumstances. We do not accept responsibility for decisions made solely in reliance on website content where a written project agreement or professional advice would reasonably be required.

We do not promise that the site will always be available or free from faults. We may suspend, withdraw or change it, or any part of it, without notice.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

This site may link to external websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link does not imply endorsement.

08Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause affects your right to bring or defend proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and the mandatory law of that part continues to apply.
