Where to start

Choose the smallest useful route

Quick Win: One repeatable job, one clear result and a straightforward way to handle anything unusual. Several steps, tools or people: Connected System. Larger operational software: Operational Web System. Inherited software: Delta Steward assessment. Purchase, handover or due diligence: Independent Software Review. Not sure: Bottleneck Review.

Free fit call

15 minutes

Bring the manual job, missed hand-off or system problem. We will tell you whether it looks like a small automation, a connected system, a review or something Root Delta should not take on.

Paid review

Bottleneck Review

From £750 net

from £900 including VAT at 20%

A short written map of the bottleneck, the recommended first move, important dependencies and an indicative route to implementation. If you commission one project or paid scoping stage within 90 days of receiving the report, the net Review fee you paid is credited. One credit applies per engagement.

Choose the right build route.

Automation Quick Win

£1,950 to £2,400 net

£2,340 to £2,880 including VAT at 20%

One repeatable job, one clear result and a straightforward way to handle anything unusual. It can prepare a draft quote or invoice, file a supplier invoice or produce a scheduled report.

Connected System

£6,000 to £14,000 net

£7,200 to £16,800 including VAT at 20%

A joined-up operational workflow across several steps, systems or people, with the shared visibility and control the work requires.

See Connected System →

Operational Web System

From £15,000 net

From £18,000 including VAT at 20%

Substantial operational software starts with a paid scoping stage at 10% to 15% of the estimated build, with a minimum business price of £2,500 net (£3,000 including VAT at 20%).

See Operational Web System →

Quick Win: The quoted price depends on the scope and systems involved. Straightforward routes sit at the lower end; financial drafts and more involved connections sit at the upper end.

Connected System: The normal Connected System range is £6,000 to £14,000 net. If a narrow first phase is useful by itself, it may be scoped from £5,000 net (£6,000 including VAT at 20%). The quote states exactly what that phase achieves and what remains outside it.

Operational Web System: The scoping fee is credited in full against a build commissioned within 90 days of receiving the scoping deliverable. A prior Bottleneck Review counts towards that credit rather than adding a second one. These are guide ranges, not a forced step. If a useful first phase falls between them, we scope that phase separately and show what it achieves before you decide.

03 · Check and take over

Check before you build. Take over with a clear view.

Assure

Independent Software Review

Priced to the system

The quote states the total including VAT at 20%

A focused review of the software, its design or its delivery evidence, for a purchase, decision or handover. The scope is set by the system, access, evidence and outcome required.

Due diligence is priced to the work required, not as a percentage of a transaction.

£840 including VAT at 20% per named system, per month

Automation Quick Wins are not eligible. Later work is quoted separately. A later accepted expansion or replacement that meets the larger-system boundary may be assessed for Delta Care. The written care terms confirm the named application and scope. Delta Care is for qualifying larger systems Root Delta builds. Inherited or supplier-built software starts with a paid Delta Steward assessment.

For inherited or third-party systems, Delta Steward starts with a paid assessment →

05 · Your quote

What your quote includes.

Before you commit, your written quote confirms the scope, timing, business price, VAT and total payable. Any material third-party cost is stated with it.

More systems, users, custom screens, historic-data cleanup, attachments, permissions, store submission, customer-facing use, unusual security or availability needs, and a platform edition that lacks the required connection can change the price.

06 · Questions

Common questions about pricing.

Which route fits our situation?

Start with a free fit call. A Quick Win gives you one repeatable job, one clear result and a straightforward way to handle anything unusual. Several connected steps are a Connected System; larger operational software is an Operational Web System; and software inherited from another supplier starts with Delta Steward. A purchase, handover or due-diligence decision points to Independent Software Review. If the route is unclear, the Bottleneck Review provides a paid written starting point.

What if our work is not covered by a published route?

Tell us what the work needs to do. We will check the published routes, suggest a sensible first step, or tell you if Root Delta is not the right fit. The written quote remains the authority for the agreed scope, timing, VAT and total.

How do the Bottleneck Review and scoping credits work?

The net Bottleneck Review fee paid can be credited in full once against one qualifying project or paid scoping stage commissioned within 90 days of receiving the report. The agreed Operational Web System scoping fee is credited in full against a matching build commissioned within 90 days of receiving the scoping deliverable. A prior Review counts towards that one credit, not a second credit.

Is Delta Care separate from the build price?

Yes. Delta Care is a separate software-only service at £700 net (£840 including VAT at 20%) per named eligible system, per month. It is agreed after a qualifying larger system and covers the named application, not general managed IT support. Quick Wins are not eligible.
